TV-NOC Technician

The TV-NOC (Network Operations Center) Technician performs the required operations of the TV-NOC department to ensure the continuity and quality of the TV services delivered by EBOX.

Main Responsibilities

  • Monitors the TV service and ensure proper functioning
  • Validates and diagnoses breakdowns and alarms related to the TV service
  • Takes action to minimize the impact of breakdowns and maintenance
  • Promptly communicates and document breakdowns and maintenance processes
  • Manages the on-demand and catch-up video content
  • Ensures the quality of TV applications by preparing, performing and documenting the required tests and associated results
  • Participate in development projects
  • Configure TV systems and ensure their proper monitoring
  • Responsible for knowledge sharing and transfer between TV-NOC Technicians and Technical Support Agents
  • Brings support to level 2 and 3 Technical Support Agents
  • Performs maintenance on satellite antennas
  • Performs other duties as required

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • College diploma in Computer science or or equivalent experience
  • Knowledge of Linux environment
  • Knowledge of network, video monitoring and diagnostic tools (LibreNMS, Zabbix, TSReader, Wireshark)
  • Knowledge of office automation and collaboration software (MS Office, Jira, Gitlab)
  • Experience in network or system or video application administration field (asset)
  • Experience as a technical support agent (asset)
  • Bilingualism (French and English)
  • Thorough
  • Acute observer
  • Excellent listening and communication skills
  • Strong analytical and technical problem-solving skills
