How do I update the remote control firmware?
Updating your remote
To identify your device model, look at the label under the EBOX TV set-top box:
- EBOX TV 1.0 (Sagemcom)
- EBOX TV 2.0 (Technicolor)
- EBOX TV 3.0 (Askey)
Updating the remote control for EBOX TV 1.0 and 2.0
To update your remote’s firmware, make sure the remote control is set to Bluetooth mode. On your remote, press the “Settings” button and the “up arrow” at the same time until the remote control indicator light blinks twice.

Long press – between 5 and 10 seconds – on the “WPS” button located on the side of the TV box. On your remote, press the “Play / pause” and “EBOX TV” buttons at the same time for 5 seconds.

You will then have to access the update function via the EBOXTV app menu. Press the “TV” button on your remote control.
Select the “Settings” option at the top of the screen, on the right.

Then, select “Remote”.

Then, press “Firmware update”. If you are updating the software for the first time, you will need to follow the on-screen instructions.


Updating the remote control for EBOX TV 1.0 and 2.0
If a remote control update is available, a number will appear on the “Notifications” icon on the home screen.
Note: The Android notification centre also displays other messages that are not related to the remote control.

Find the “Update your remote” notification and select it.

Now follow the instructions on the screen. When the update is complete, you will be redirected to the Android home screen. A confirmation message will appear in the upper right corner of the screen to indicate that the update has been successfully completed.
